The Tarteist pro palette tutorial featuring deep dark burgundy tones – the look so nice I did it twice! Actually I usually do these twice because I generally recreate something that you guys really liked on Instagram, but this time I liked it extra. And I also switched it to a different lip because I just felt like I really needed to let the beauty and versatility of the burgundy live it’s fullest life.
Also, quick mini review of the Tarte Pro Palette – It’s fantastic. Great pigmentation, easy to blend and very very little fall out. I am really impressed with it on the whole.
As usual you can watch the tutorial above and all the still shots and other looks of the week with all their product links will be below.

Fun Fact: This look is using almost exactly the same products as the look in the video, right down to the liquid lipstick on the eye! I obviously used a different lipstick color on the lips, but isn’t it crazy how versatile products can be?
I wore this look out and about and ate a nice hefty salad for lunch and it really reminded me how much I truly love the Stila liquid lipsticks. Honestly after all these years they’re still the most comfortable and long wearing out there. I wish the shade range was a little bigger and trendier but I’ll take what I can get for now I suppose.

The final look of the week is using the same palette yet AGAIN. I know I know annoying. But honestly I just like it that much. It’s like when I got the Modern Renaissance Palette and I just couldn’t stop. I’m a creature of habit and I also like to get my money’s worth out of things.
I always wind up wearing these elaborate looks out to like Target or something completely inappropriate, but honestly life isn’t always that exciting and if I were to wait around for a special occasion you guys would be mored of my makeup looks in 4 days flat. I saw recently that urban dictionary has defined this phenomenon as “pixiwooing” because Sam and Nick from pixiwoo always say they’re going to pick up their kids after doing super glamorous tutorials. Comparing myself to such fabulous ladies makes me feel better about it, so that’s what I’m calling it from now on. Don’t mind me, I’m just pixiwooing!

QUESTION OF THE DAY:
DO YOU WAIT FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION TO WEAR A FUN MAKEUP LOOK OR DO YOU JUST GO FOR IT WHENEVER YOU FEEL LIKE EING CREATIVE?
